Community Resilience Building Design Portfolio: Edges and Slopes
Thrilled to release the Community Resilience Building Design Portfolio: Edges and Slopes. This portfolio of 13 designs including dune restoration, urban stream daylighting, living edges,
and urban slopes provides architects, planners, engineers, and elected officials with a much needed collection of resilient projects. This portfolio spans three “resilient gradients” including urban-suburban-rural development, coastal to inland transitions, and socio-economically advantaged and disadvantaged settings. In all cases these designs adhere to a “resilient triple bottom line” where each strives to reduce risk from hazards, enhance an amenity or quality of life for residents, and increase ecological viability. Special thanks to American Institute of Architects (CT Chapter) for recently featuring this design portfolio.
